The download is a disk image (.dmg). Open it on your Mac to install the app.

Before you install

Check your macOS version in About This Mac. Keep your original exports and choose two working files that represent the comparison you want to make.

For Excel, prepare a sheet with a clear header row and recalculate and save any formulas first. The app reads saved results and does not recalculate them. Review the Excel import limits for larger workbooks.

Install the app

  1. Download the disk image using the button on this page.
  2. Quit any older copy of the app. Open the disk image and copy the app to Applications.
  3. Open Spreadsheet Comparison from Applications, choose your two files and select workbook sheets if needed.
  4. Review mappings, choose a key and run your first comparison.

The free trial allows 5,000 data rows per file and ten successful comparisons. Read pricing for the trial boundaries and lifetime access.

If macOS blocks the app or an import fails, keep the exact message and consult support and troubleshooting. Do not bypass a system warning without understanding its cause.
